SaaS niche validator: competition, pricing and revenue evidence
Pick a SaaS category to get a three-part scorecard built from the TrendLens snapshot of 12 October 2026: how many new products compete for it, whether products charge real money, and how much public revenue evidence exists. Every rule is shown, so you can see exactly why a niche scores the way it does.
Scoring rules
- Competition — products launched in the category in the tracked window (2026-08-22 to 2026-09-21): over 2,000 = crowded, 500–2,000 = moderate, under 500 = open.
- Willingness to pay — median monthly plan price: $30 or more = strong, $15–30 = medium, under $15 or not enough prices = weak.
- Revenue evidence — products with a TrendLens revenue estimate: at least one with confidence of 50+ and five or more estimates = strong; five or more estimates = some; fewer = little.
